We remember what the old fundraising thing is all about. Asking local businesses to donate anything at all and then trying to flog it for more than what it’s worth. For the big kids the cash raised will get them to New Caledonia for a holiday while pretending to work on their French language. For the little kids it’s more likely to pay for a new air-conditioner at school to keep them cool. We’re proud to say we support the local community and contribute to various charities. Whatever the target, we do our best to support local schools and kindergartens and have donated to the following (as well as plenty we can’t remember) since 2005:

We also make cold hard cash (well, actually it's credit card) donations to CARE Australia, OXFAM and the Cancer Council and we've raised over $6000 after competing in the 2009 Oxfam Trailwalker 100km Hawkesbury to the Harbour Endurance Challenge. And of course we love talking up how our donations of cows, school supplies and the like was the catalyst for Merrick and Rosso raising over 60 000 big ones for Care Australia in 2006. We're just touched to get feedback that shows that our donations have encouraged others to make donations of very significant amounts that will make big inroads to improving the quality of a large number of lives.
