In the Blacktown local government area, Eastern Creek is located 35 kilometres west of the Sydney CBD. The suburb is most notable and attracts people as it is home to Sydney Motorsport Park and is in the west of the Prospect Reservoir. It got its name after the combination of the eastern branch of South Creek the road crossed the creek.
