We've a lot of love for the chrysanthemum.You see, it's much more than just a Mother's Day flower. Available all year round, "crissies" are grown locally as well as being imported from overseas markets to keep up with Australian demand for them.
They last well and there's a multitude of varieties - polaris, daisy, spider, disbud, big mums and more. As well as having many a variety, the colour range is something else.
Crissies come in white, yellow, purple, pink, burgundy, lemon, green and a great deal more. There's even dyed crissies in fluorescent colours available.
Chrysanthemums are also a good value flower, providing real bang for your buck. And if that's not enough, they last really well too.
Little wonder they've been popular for as long as they have.
