A Bit About North Richmond

North Richmond is a historical Australian suburb known to have been the home for the Darug people in the past. It was called "Enfield" in the early days but later faced a name change in order to delineate itself from another similarly named place in the west of Sydney. Historical records also reveal that it was named "North Richmond" for occupying the north of Richmond Hill, a landmark named by Governor Philip. Today, North Richmond is characterised as a semi-rural area in Richmond. It is an acknowledged part of New South Wales. To get here, it usually takes a 67 km ride northwest from the Central Business District in the government area of the City of Hawkesbury.
