Hailing from the state of New South Wales in Australia is the suburb of Pitt Town. Historically, it was the home to Darug people for over 40,000 years. Another cultural significance of this place is being the location where the second airstrip in World War II was built. After the dreadful years of war, the airstrip was transformed by Ferodo Australia as an automotive race and testing track. The course, however, was later turned into a public road, now known as the "Airstrip Road." Arrival to Pitt Town requires a 59 km ride northwest of the Central Business District of Sydney. It lies in the City of Hawkesbury and is bordered by the Hawkesbury River on its north side. Some of Pitt Town's greatest landmarks are the St. James Anglican Church, The Scots Church, and the Pitt Town General Cemetery.
